The tunic pictured in post #172 is an early specimen of the 1942- introduced "new-pattern Police Field Blouse" for Officers, here for a Gendarmerie captain and in summerweight quality. It complies with the description published in Uniformen- Markt issue #17 year 1942, page 130. Minor deviations from EM/NCOs issue, such as turned-up cuffs and, color faced collar, were authorized to commissioned ranks.
New-pattern Police Field Blouse (Polizei-Feldbluse neuer Art) is the official , period designation; in collectors' parlance it might be M42/42 field blouse.
I don't feel comfortable with the Feldgendarmerie cuffband: the embroidery’s inaccurate, the way it’s stitched on the back of the sleeve is weird, the position of the band is not regulation (it should be above the turn-up of the cuff), I’d expect an aluminum hand-embroidered lettering. Furthermore , use of an Army Military Police cuffband on a civil police tunic is improper at least. Yes, it will be speculated of a Gendarmerie officer attached to an Army military police unit. e
Whatever the cuffband is, I don’t consider it detracting and the tunic is a nice a genuine sample.

Many thanks again for great info to you Marco. The tunic with the cuff band came with this crusher army cap. Have no idea if they were together originally, but if the band is wrong, cap is added on IMO. If not. curious anyway. Do make a nice set!Attached Files

RE: Cuff band, I'm not convinced of original to this tunic. Perhaps if it was Mot. Gend. I would be more so but not Feld-Gend. Have you post the FG cuff band in the Heer uniforms section for comments on authenticity? That might be a good idea for more opinions on the band itself.Last edited by Dave C.; 08-30-2015, 07:56 PM.Interested in the Gendarmerie - Schutzpolizei - Gemeinden - Feuerschutzpolizei - Wasserschutzpolizei - Etc.
