Hello Yancy,
I knew I had this one somewhere. This is my lowly offering to this thread, the only RAD tunic I have. It is for an Obertruppfuhrer and seems to look like a 37/38 pattern service tunic, but it can be done up to the neck, it has straight flapped internal pockets on the skirt and non-opening cuffs..Perhaps you can tell me its exact pattern?Attached Files

Hello,
thanks for posting pictures of your tunic,I believe this is a closed neck version of the 1937-38 pattern tunic,I believe after 1939 all RAD tunics has a external bottom pockets, looking over my loose photos i found 3 pictures of this type of tunic in wear,1 picture was a post 1943 picture with the interenal lower pockets and closed neck,1 picture is a pre 1941 picture and im not sure about the date of the 3rd,the scan im posting is of the pre 1941 picture with that style tunic-sorry about the image when i enlarged the photo X4 it lost some quality-are the buttons on your tunic gold or is that from the flash?Attached Files

RAD tunic
Yes, its a closed neck tunic, you can clearly see the hook at the collar, and how wide the brown collar is. As for the golden buttons, of course they should be sliver, but they could be replaced at one time. Some of the tunics I have the buttons were the early style, meaning a very light pebbled, not like the combat larger pebbles, and had a gilt tone to them, the color seemed to be a 50-50 silver or gilt.

I just posted pictures of this tunic in the Wehrmacht uniform section. It could just as easily gone here. I think its a RAD tunic used by female members assigned or attached the the LW. I've never seen one like it. Maybe someone who has experience with RAD uniforms could help me out. Any help would be appreciated. Regards Jim

Hello Jim,
your womens tunic is similar in cut to a RADwJ tunic but im not sure about the luftwaffe eagle being on a RADwJ tunic, maybe its just a Luftwaffe female FLAK helper tunic?im just guessing here RADwJ is not my area of interest.
Here is my latest purchase from one of our german forum members,is a texybook standard HBT work shirt.Attached Files
