C., I had not noticed the leather cover on the Org Buch. Excellent. Here is an interesting gorget not often seen.

Very nice Imperial Feldgendarmerie. Wonderful box and tissue packing paper. Here is mine sans the box and paper.

And some military police Ringkragen from WWII period.

          And the KM Shore Patrol........

              WOW, fantastic gorgets!

For some reason, I don't have a single example of any gorget at this time...I think it's because I only have eyes for one (and Joe already posted a picture of his amazing example!)

Dave, you ought to consider this one instead. Used by the FJK d. SA and then in turn by the Mot. Gendarmerie Bereitschaft until replaced by the Mot. Gend. cuff title.

They are probably 1/3 the value of a Police Fahnentrager Ringkragen. And, you would know it was worn by a member of the Gendarmerie. A Polizei Ringkragen might have been worn by a member of the mot. Gend. but there were only three of them in use.

Joe, that is a stunning example! I noticed this one happens to grace the pages of the new Ringkragen und Brustschilder im Dritten Reich reference. Talk about a great reference on the subject and the periods pictures... Anyhow, the Gendarmerie connection is certainly full of consideration for me if I ever had a chance at one!

Stunning array of gorgets but being a political collector myself I can't get over the Organisationsbuch!!! What a prize possession that is.

                      My Luftwaffe Feldgendarmerie gorget

I have found this gorget in Dinan (Côtes d’Armor) many many years ago.

In the last days of August 1944, it has been thrown above a wall during the night; the next day in the morning, it was picked up in the garden and kept like that in a drawer !

                            My Feldgendarmerie gorget

... I have had many many Feldgendarmerie gorgets (more than 60).

This one is stamped M - with its specific buttons and eagle.

Assmann's gorgets have different insignias and a matt gray colour.

The ones with cardboard are also different etc etc

Thanks for your postings and visits...
