    Hi guys,

Galizien41, nice set of items you got there! Very rare pair of pants! Let's hope there is an opposite set for each of us out there. It must be...My M44 is screaming to be united with a nice pair of pants!

JoeW, thanks for the link. Interesting to see other M44's. They are a rare breed. Anybody seen any period photo's of them in wear?

    Regards,

    Erik

      Hi Erik,

That is a fine looking exmaple you have and not one often seen! Thanks for posting for us to see!

This reminds me of a photo I ran accross the other day in some random reference book that appears to be this type of M44 carried over for use postwar. I'll try for a better photo when the light comes out, although this publication is not of high quality.

Dave, I guess I hadn't noticed much, but the threads are only carried for two pages and then you have to try and find them with search? Has it become a storage problem on this site?
Joe, many thanks for posting that link! I was just thinking about that thread.

In regard to your question, it's a display setting default. No storage problems. While in the main forum, not a thread, go to the bottom of the page and in the middle there is a drop down window below "From The" that you can change and show threads from different periods of time and also from the beginning. Once selected, just click on the "Show Threads" button and you should have them all! Happy hunting!

Thank you Dave. I guess it defaulted to the shorter period back when all the wonderful changes were made.

Interesting picture Dave! If I read it correctly it was taken in 1946 so in the first post-war year. Nice!

                Erik.

Is it possible for you to take a close-up, possibly in natural light of the Po 1944 and RBNr number? I have seen that exact stamp in another Police uniform that has a company name and I'm curious if the name and number will match up. Thanks,

                Richard

Like I mentioned before, the publication was not the best of quality but here is a better photo.

                              Erik,

Thanks for posting the concise, clear photos. The stamp I know of is very similar and is in a garment produced by the Reitz company, not to be confused with the Belgian uniform producer E. Reitz. Here is the stamp, I wonder if the RBNr number is for Reitz?.

                                ERIK,
THAT IS A NICE POLICE TUNIC YOU HAVE. I HAVE A SIMILAR ONE AND LATELY I WAS OFFERED A PAIR OF TROUSERS TO GO WITH IT.

SINCE I ONLY COLLECT TUNICS AND HEADGEAR, I TURNED DOWN THE OFFER.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, I CAN GIVE YOU THE SITE. I DO NOT KNOW IF THE TROUSERS ARE STILL AVAILABLE/

                                MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS rommel10452@yahoo.com

I AM VERY MUCH INTERESTED IN AN M43 TO GO WITH MY TUNIC.

                                REGARDS,

                                IGNATIUS
