They were actually just pay-grades, and only the top 5 could wear the gold piping and the flecked chincords.

I don't think there were that many "generals". You will see 15 WH general visors for every one Reichsbahn.

WVD Paris (Michel) would know how many there were.

Looks like he bought his schirmmutze especially for the pic:

This is the only pic of the Bahnschutz General visor I am aware of. It is being worn by a Reichsbahn member, however. Pictured is Dr. Ing. Karl Remy after having been awarded the WMC with swords on the Day of the German Railways, 1942.

If anyone has a better pic from this event, or any others showing this style hat in wear, I would appreciate it.

Not a rare pic, but rare for the use of the medal bar--this would technically be parade dress for a DRB man:

More platform supervisors. Note the first style visor insignia with the M-41 uniforms:

Here's a couple picture of my Ur-Opa in Reichbahn light truck company, first one is taken in Brussels. The second picture is after his Reichbahn unit was transferred under the command of the Wehrmacht, note Reichbahn light truck company symbol on his sleeve. Note the breast eagle on the left side of his tunic, this was done to symbolise while under the command of Wehrmacht, they were not actually Wehrmacht soldiers. (I have posted these previously in a different thread.)

Chris, thanks for posting those rare pics. Another example of seeing something new here every day.
