I believe also that the officer uniforms from the auctions above are fake.
But I found a photo of a Police tank unit with a uniform of a Zugwachtmeister
coming yery close to the fakes! What do you think?
Sorry, I am not able to insert the Image!

He lent it to me to make copies of some of the images in return for providing commentary on the album contents. The album was of Rösener during a field tour in the Balkans. I have some of the photo and one is of a junior officer in Pol Pz uniform. I believe he sold it at one of the Max auctions in Baltimore.

Here is the photo of the man in Pz Bekleidung in the background. My memory was faulty as he is a NCO with green sleeve eagle, not a junior officer.

Here is another of two NCOs in Pz Bekleidung taken from a copy of one of my police magazines.

But all this is unnecessary. If you have the superb Werner Regenberg book on police armored vehicles and troops, you would find excellent photos of a Pz trooper in closeup in his black Pz Bekleidung.

If I hadn't seen it in the above photo, I wouldn't have believed you. Heer caps and Pz wrap and Pol Pz wrap, both with late white woven police eagles. Steyr, can you show us the entire photo, or will it shock me to see more of the same mix?

No Joe, that is enough for now. I do not want to encourige people starting to produce real fake uniforms. All I intended was to show that not all uniforms we never saw before are fakes.
It looks like that there were non standard uniforms. The reason might be some supply bottleneck in uniforms, caps, emplems etc. But I do not know!!!
Up to now we even do not know if the police produced "own" panzer wrappers or if they used supply channels of the Wehrmacht or Waffen-SS and sew police badges and shoulder boards on them.

I guess defining the proper dress code for armored vehicle crews does not indicate HAOP design and production, it would seem to me that if they go to the trouble of designing and producing uniforms for Helferinen, doing the same for armored crews wouldnt be a problem.

You’re correct Ernst, those appear to be early SS caps.

Or they could be Heer panzer m42 type caps.

Panzer police had special design panzer trousers. Also the internals of the wrappers were different than Heer panzer wrappers.

The trousers and Wrapper that I have (both came separately), but are both marked to a specific maker and depot. This may not be the only manufacturer, but the few photos of other originals I have seen were marked the same.

I just saw yet another fake one over the weekend at a show.

It would appear (certainly in my experience) that the fake are all officer wraps.
