I would dare not intentionally bring the rath of the "dark side" down on me, but these eagles certainly are more attractive (especially when Dave takes the photos) than SS eagles valued 30X higher for their "dark" value!

Nice eagle. You can clearly see the cardboard template beneath the embroidery. Also like the atypical higher grade background material rather than the fuzzy nap "badge cloth".

Watch out Bill, the dark side maybe after you for that comment! There are some really nice SS eagles out there, although I would have to side with you on preferring the police bullion insignia! But I'm all about collecting the police!

Bill, can you maybe show a bit more detail of the subdued bullion eagle?

here are my two contributions:

1. Schupo officers sleeve-eagle attached to its original tunic. Interesting about this one is how it is attached to the sleeve. All stitching is invisible. How they did it I don't know but it sure is attractive
Also notice the feather on the back of the eagles head


2. Wasserschutzpolizei officers sleeve eagle
High grade gold bullion on dark blue backing. Pictures don't do the eagle justice. in real life the bullion really is shiny and sparkling.
