Did the roadway police wear police tabs or FJK tabs on these olive uniforms? I had always thought that they continued with the SA tabs.

FJK collar tabs were positively kept for several months from the forming of the roadway police on April 1, 1935 . Actually , I have a 1937-dated color plate which shows a road patrolman uniform yet with FJK collar tabs, something that testifies to how long standardization of police uniforms took.
For sure, ministerial circular dated June 25th, 1936 ordered police-style collar tabs for those that, by the time, had been retitled motorisierte Gendarmerie-Bereitschaften.

Close Bill. Motorissierte Strassenpolizei/ Mot. Gendarmerie. White piping, olive tunic and collar. White eagle? Supposedly,but never seen one. Successors to the FJK.

Contrary to D. Deuster’s statement in “Deutsche Polizei-Uniformen 1936-1945” , ministerial circular dated June 25th, 1936 did n o t forbid the sleeve eagle to the "FJK style" olive-clad Gendarmerie-Bereitschaften (formerly Strassenpolizei). Thus, a white police national emblem with a black swastika on olive backing is correctly supposed. Only later were sleeve eagles overtly prohibited , precisely from olive “FJK-style” tunics still existing in May 1937 (see ministerial circular n°50 dated May 3rd, 1937) . The fact is that most period pics show no eagles being worn on olive “FJK-style” tunics.

2008 I started this thread and had hoped to see more portraits.........from other collections.
However, now I'm bored enough to stop sharing my collection.

Not my pictures, but at least the 1871 Feldgendarm with Kavalleriepistole m 1850 one is worth to show (looks more like Doc Hollyday....). Second is a Prussian Verkehrspolizist with rare white Tschako.
