                      Altrogge

                      Gerd,

by 1914 Herr Altrogge was with the V./39 Polizeirevier Berlin and had been awarded the Crown Order 4th Class (21 April 1910) and upgraded his Landwehrdienstauszeichnung to the 1st Class.

He was also promoted to Hauptmann der Landwehr I on 16.6.11. He is still shown in the 1915 Berin Adreßkalender as a Polizeileutnant in V./39. He continued to serve after the War and is still shown as a Polizeihauptmann in the 1920 Berlin Adreßbuch and a Polizeimajor in 1921.

                      Regards
                      Glenn

Non mounted Landgendarm with Reichsrevolver and Seitengewehr for flag-bearer (Gendarmerie issue post 1900). Btw, these Seitengewehre had special frogs as well!

                                Oberwachtmeister with his wife.

Because of the uniform style and awards the photo can be dated between 1871-1889. This officer was no member of a Garde-Regiment (lack of the Garde-stripe on the "Polish" cuffs) during his military service.
