Are these pics colourised by hand, or photoshopped ?
Is it possible to colourise with 'Photoshop 7.0'?

I suspect most of the images posted here are colorized using Photoshop or some software variant.

And yes, it is possible to colorize using Photoshop 7.0.

I couldn't figure out how to do it with Photoshop , but I managed to download a free program called "Recolored", so this is my 1st. attempt...

              Stalingrad colorized!

Here some pictures of my City of Stalingrad colorized project.

Presently I am building a 3D model of the City of Stalingrad as it appeared in the fall of 1942. The model was created with 2 foot contour lines and I have even fashioned the Volga river bottom from navigational charts from the 1930’s.

The follow pictures are from German aerial reconnaissance photos of the villages of Spartanovka and Rynok in northern Stalingrad. Each photo is over 54 Mb in size and a total of 61 pictures will be in the final model.

Currently, I am finishing the buildings in these sectors and should have them in place around the end of the year.

All the work has been created with AutoCAD 2005, 3D Studio Max 7.0 and Adobe Photoshop CS.

If you double click on the villages names of Spartanovka and Rynok you can download some low resolution 360 degrees 3D movies of these two areas.

                Tiger 1315

                Hi,

While I like b/w photos as much as the next guy, I admire your efforts to colorize the old photos. I have a photo of my father in uniform that was colorized at the time and it gives the photo a whole different look. Anyway, I posted a photo of an SS Tiger tank elsewhere on the board and was wondering if someone could colorize it for me. If so, I'd really appreciate it as I'm trying to determine the camo pattern on this specific Tiger.

                Regards,
                John
