    why woud HJ wear a volks armband and have a waffen eagle on the arm.. something about the cap too.. can you scan the orginal?

      I found the picture on this forum I believe (hope the owner doesn't mind me playing with it?). Towards the end off 44 and in 45 it was common that HJ would wear a Volksturm armband even though they often preferred to keep their HJ ones to show solidarity. As to the SS insigna and the sahariana tunic, I have no clue! Which is why I love this picture!!! Does anyone know what district he belonged to? His shoulder boards seem to be 540(?) ??

        Well Looks as if I am back on the colorising band wagaon again thanks to Larrister!. Thanks again Larry for the much needed Q&A.

                      I guess there are some out there who like B&W photos only but the thread was started for those who enjoy colorizing B&W photos.
                      If done properly the photo comes to life and an idea can be got of what the scene really looked like when the photo was taken.
                      Remember that colorizing photos was popular during the 1940s and 1950s and probably sooner.
                      Just my two cents worth.
