    A doctor or a warrior?

    I have been lucky enough to purchase some documents from Oberartz Georg Spornberger and looks like he was a very busy and interesting career.

    First his EK II citation, unafortunately all documents shows some fire damage, but I think its interest and rarity compensates this small estetic fail.

      He was a brave soldier and surely he didn´t hide when bullets fly and the wounded were crying

                    This soldier's awards pretty much answer that idea.
                    Sanis (especially)were to be found out in the open while others were taking cover!
                    German medical personnel routinely were armed like any other Landser in the East -because the Reds never regarded the Geneva Red Cross as anything other than a target.
                    No soldier was,universally, more respected than combat medics & front doctors(that goes for any army.)

                        For this soldier nothing more has surfaced, this weekend I will put another group I have purchased.

                        Thanks to all for the comments about this group, Simon you know that you will find a DKiG or a Krimschild in my groups.
