                        In post 94 they're all wearing an unusual non-German looking tunic. Light weight, lower slash pockets, no insignia?

                          SS. Very interesting photo indeed. I would have thought Russia, but it may be Poland. That would explain the lack of insignia at the beginning of the war. Thought they had shoulder straps though so no idea.

                            Nothing unusual about them, they are SS M37 tunics. And often it will be seen where only partial or even no insignia is worn by SS troops during the early campaigns.
