    White camo smock pictured in Ardennes - help need

    I need some help from You Guys!

    I want to display mannequin from enclosed photo.

    In my opinion shows very interesting way of wearing two piece snow camo suit together with Mantel. I was able to purchase (thanks Mario and Jim) both in VGC.

    I look after copy of photo above in better resolution. I'm plannig to print it in large size and place the mannequin in the front.

    Maybe some of you Guys seen another pictures taken during the same scene?

    Copy of this picture has been taken form "German Army Uniforms And Insignia 1933-45" by Brian L. Davis. Great book but no info regarding photo credits were indicated.

    Please help!

    Hi,

    I think this foto was printed in better quality in ,,Battle of the Bulge: Then and Now"(9780900913402) by Jean-Paul Pallud. I'll check it out when I got back from work.

        Hi,

        Sadly I didn't found it. I've looked through couple of my Ardennes and winter uniforms book but there were no such a photo. Anyway I'm sure it was published somewhere... Maybe it's here: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=78666 ?

            Photo #327 from Davis' book captions it as "The single piece snow overalls."

            Very hard to tell if it's a one piece or two piece outfit. If it is a two piece set, then I don't think it was uncommon for Germans to wear the snow shirt tucked into the pants. I see this method of wear with the Gebirgsjägers who would wear the Windbluse (3-pocket anorak) tucked into the Windhose. My thoughts.

                    Another foto that looks like a combi at 1st glance, but its indeed just the smock tucked in to trousers. I am sure same happened on the foto that started this thread.

                      Thank you Patrick for another photo, meanwhile I found better resolution copy of this fabulous picture and what is the most important some information about story behind it.
