This one I particularly like. Him looking somewhat in disdain while the others are fooling around.

Agreed, the image on the railway wagon looks very much like a polish white eagle.

Entering some Belgian or French town. Any idea which city this is?

Probably the same town. People are crowding (or queuing?). Children running between the cars.

On the last photo, the sign in the shop window seems to read: "Drogisterij". I have attached a closeup.
The city might be Rotterdam, can anyone confirm this?

                  Regards

Some photos of the realities of war

It took me some time to find the following photos. As a military police guy, my grandfather was not in combat himself, but took some photos that show the realities of war. First, a smashed tank. I have too little knowledge here, is that a German tank?

                    Regards

                      Dead bodies

And here, some killed soldiers. They are Germans, if I'm not mistaken:

Fantastic pictures! It looks like some kind of ambush! The bodies are very close to each other and in “one piece”, so they didn’t die from grenade or shrapnel, it looks to me like these soldiers were shot. Oh well, we will never know…One more time, thanks for sharing.

                          Best regards

                          Robert
