        Hello Bill,

Thanks for the kind words. Your friend has some very nice photos.
Here are some slightly different winter photos all from the XXIV Armeekorps album.
First one is a winter scene depicting a mass grave containing the bodies of seven members of 7/IR 394 all killed 3.11.1941.

Next one is a nice wide-view winter photo showing buildings, vehicles and horses and carts crossing bridge.

Next one is a rather bleak winter scene showing Russian POWs marching into captivity.

Last one is a photo of transport troops posing in front of their truck. the man with the fur-lined boots is probably the driver. Because of the lack of heating in the cabs of most trucks drivers sometimes got frostbite in their feet so these sorts of boots were essential.

                          Mercedes-Benz photo

Hi Partrick, the Mercedes-Benz on your photo is indeed a type 200 but not a
200 Lang cabriolet A ( the Lang chassis has a wheelbase from 3050 mm ).
an 200 lang Cabriolet A has also an frontwindow in one piece and opened on the upside of the frame.
The car on the photo has the short wheelbase of 2700 mm[ and the frontwindow of the 200 Roadster 2 ( 2 ) seats built in the years 1935-1936.
The doorstyling is the same as this Roadster only the upside of the doors are different, a Cabriolet A is it not, this type had the normall doors , they are larger.
The type is a Mercedes-Benz 200 Roadster with modifications for a winter NSKK "Gelände Zuverlässigkeits Fahrt" , maybe it is taken by the Wehrmacht for Military use, ( See the pennant and the Notek ).

Some winter pics I have picked up recently.

I think this one is in Norway.
