Incredible Color Photos

Hi everybody,

I know that colored photos are pretty hard to find - even in books published until 1945.
The happier I am as I found this book on a Flea-Market this Saturday.
I´m collecting books for many years now, but I haven´t seen this before nor have I ever heard of it.
It was published in 1943 and has about 60 large colored photos in it.

very very nice but i think some of them maybe colourised black and white photos! certainly the rommel and the 1st ss pics are! with war time colour pics the colour is very dark and dirty! i seen ww1 pics that have been colourised and they look the same! still very nice either way! how much was the book?

You may be right that the photos were colorized - I have to read the text of the book whether there is any further information.
The price was incredible 5 EUROs

I don't think any of the images have been colorized. Agfacolor photos used in period books will often exhibit a colorized or retouched effect, which is actually due to the reproduction/printing process.

A super find at a great price, congratulations.

Ustufvorwaerts what a great find and even better at only 5 euros, I too am a great lover of coloured photos although as you mentioned you don't get to see them very often. If you get time any more scans you would like to share with us I will look forward to seeing them.
