I can't see swastika armbands. It was illegal to show political signs for a time but it could be I can't see properly.

Thanks Chrischa. I don't see them wearing the typical swastika armband either or the Sam Browne belt with chest strap. I wonder what year this was taken and if in Germany or Austria. I think there is a Party flag at the rear of the marching column. The man center of the front of the column appears to have his legs wrapped in the style of WW1 soldiers.

Sorry to disagree, friends, but those uniforms don't look like either Motor SA or NSKK to me...the kepis give that away. Both Motor SA and NSKK kepis had the dark top with the light brown -- "SA Brown" -- turnup. The kepis shown in this photo appear to be solid black and look like SS to me, as do the rest of the SS Traditions Brown Shirt uniforms. There was a time in the mid-1920s when the swastika was banned in Bavaria and perhaps this photo was produced during that period? I don't know the location of the march as shown, but the medieval-style tower in the background looks very familiar to me... Perhaps someone else here recognizes it? Do the helmets worn by the band in the foreground offer any ID to anyone?

The photo is much too vague to give a solution, but it could be political leaders. In an early stage they did wear also the kepi.
