Unknown Eichenlaubträger
Akira: Thanks for the note. Unfortunately, I do not have the history of le.Flak-Abt.71. I think I remember seeing it at some time, but that was before I had acquired Grodde's photo.
Denis and Daniel: Thank you both for your potential identification of Sepp Prentl. The chin does sort of look like him. Other than the award date given in Fellgiebel, I do not have any other information on him. Do you know what units he served in? Fellgiebel has him winning the award with Flak-Regiment 29, but ritterkreuz.de says Flak-Regiment 231. Both say Eichenlaub as Major and Kommandeur of Flak-Regiment 116. Any further info on him?
This is one last unknown, this time an Eichenlaubträger of the Luftwaffe. The Oberstleutnant standing behind him has the Fallschirmschützenabzeichen, so I am thinking this is maybe an FJ Eichenlaubträger? I've looked through my sources, but can not match the face with any FJ Eichenlaubträger that I am aware of. Any thoughts?

Hi Elwyn,
Thanks! That does look exactly like him, and fits the written note on the back of the photo, which is a town name in Germany (hard to read, maybe "Laufenhausen" ?) October 1944. I think that is right around the time III. Flakkorps would have been rebuilding after destruction in Falaise.
