I Agree! Pretty nice picture! Is that his autograph? If so, a truly rare signature, as Höfemeier was shot down and killed by Russian flak on August 7th, 1943.

Thanks for identifying this for me --- yes, it is his signature on the photo.
This came from the George Petersen collection. George had many wartime-signed photos of Luftwaffe pilots in his collection at one time. This is the only one I bought I could not identify. This is much appreciated. I will run some others that I have as well on this thread.
