Peter & Elwyn,
I'm glad you are enjoying the photos and much appreciate you taking time out to help out on identifying them for me. I don't mind sharing as you can see I have contributed many photos towards four current ongoing threads.

Hi Peter,
I do agree it was v Brauchitsch. How come the others didn't get to eat ?
But wrt to the second general, you can make out a DKiG or iS. Kreipe did not win the DG so the mystery remains.
Cheers
Elwyn
You're correct. It can't be Kreipe. As a quick guess it could be one of the generals that led the POW march thru Moscow after the collapse of Heeresgruppe Mitte (July 1944). There are photos and a film that distinctly shows this general walking with other generals at the point of the column. The name currently escapes me but I'll come back with it. His facial features are very similar.

Hi Peter,
Check out http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtop...=hitter+moscow.
It would be really nice if you could post or e-mail me more pics of this march through Moscow. I have pictures of all the generals except, I think, Aurel Schmidt and it would be fun to identify more of them from what you have seen.
Bill's pic seems to suggest Gottfried von Erdmannsdorff, if that's whom you meant what with the jaw. This GenMj did receive his DKiG (24.02.42) just before his RK (20.03.42) which as an Obst commanding Inf Rgt 171, 56 Inf Div. HrGr Mitte. He was made GenMj 01.12.42 but how did he get to see palm trees?
Cheers
Elwyn

Humm, I don´t think he is Schnaufer... to me he looks like Erich Ruddorfer (bborn in 1917 and still with us), winner of the Schertern and day fighter ace with 224 victories). He served wht JG 2 "Richthofen", JG 54 and JG 7 (piloting the Me262 jet fighter.
Just my opinion...
