I don't mean to denigrate this person at all and he certainly appears to have a fine record. But even on the Eastern Front, where the largest individual "kill" records were amassed (e.g. Hartmann, Barkhorn, etc.), a score of over 100 in this fairly short time is remarkable and noteworthy. The "one day" high point would have made this young man famous by itself. The fact that so many other names show up on these sheets, with the aircraft types being single pilot aircraft, indicates to me that this is not just his individual record, but rather a "running tally" of victories which includes his victories as well as those of others. While there are certainly "aces" whose accomplishments are impressive, but who did not become famous, I just don't believe that the score being attributed ALL to him is correct. Maybe he is one who "fell through the cracks", but I am not finding him included in the lists of high-scorers from any source. His decorations appear appropriate for what he did and I am not surprised that there is no RK (even though he may have deserved one!). I would be glad to see additional evidence and be proven incorrect.
