Grouping Spreier, MG.Btl.2, Afrikakorps, 90.Pz.Gren.Div. SARDINIEN SCHILD !

Hi Guys. Quite disappointed that my previous Thread about "SARDINIEN SCHILD BEING WORN" has few Echo until yet... Cannot imagine I am the only one who have some Pics with this Insignia worn !!

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=605594

Then, I share this Group containing TWO Schields, one sewn in Album (together with two cuts "Africa" Cufftitles, one left, and the rare Document informing the Families their Soldier will not be at Home for X-Mas, designated with the Schield !! For those who can some German, I will suggest to read the Text from this Document, it is unique... and typical Style from Baade, which was a very special General (see the excellent Book about him "Reiter, Streiter und Rebell"). Baade died of his Wounds on last war Day !! In Spreier(s Group, they were some good Pics with the Shield being worn in Littoria (Italia), January 1944. The better one are shown in the thread given before.... Here is the rest of the Group : <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/C/0/C0xLSf7q1jvu134133488212P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/W/w/Wwrd6C1FOUb9134133490133P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/a/B/aBOh8Rz14YPc134133492039P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn03.trixum.de/upload2/f/M/fMStohLOm8cU134133493995P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/t/V/tVlsLGD3XEBy134133495738P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn03.trixum.de/upload2/E/q/EqXwoSTHQUZ3134133498069P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/m/i/miEMBrxKG3RZ134133500332P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn03.trixum.de/upload2/k/T/kT0bGpLXft5A134133501886P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/m/d/mdvLpxubYlEI134133503199P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn03.trixum.de/upload2/c/i/ciUKE0nYQOFJ134133504802P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/d/O/dO673v9Lx0zp134133506593P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn03.trixum.de/upload2/p/I/pIO6Z9XHc5w7134133507777P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/8/m/8m9aPTVKgyow134133509305P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/m/l/mlu0vZC5IJ94134133511347P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/b/R/bRp6J5AIPUjL134133513653P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/w/u/wu1JOpC5bDfV134133515441P1683.jpg"></p> <p><img src="http://cdn01.trixum.de/upload2/0/T/0Tr1A4GdcYXl134133517117P1683.jpg"></p>

Great grouping again. I don't imagine there's lot of Sardinienschild groups left this intact, so it's refreshing to see this.

Tremendous grouping. And, I like the Baade signature on the "Family" document. His signature seems to be one of the more inconsistent. It seems to have gotten bigger and more "loopy" as the war progressed - perhaps it grew with his experience/responsibilties.

You are right Brian, I have seen some very variable Signatures from Baade. This Guy was really an awesome Personality, The Book talking from his Life is very interesting in this sin. Kind regards. L.
