Mmm....I wish I could find AT LEAST a capture paper with "1x German Tank" on it!

                    Hi there,

                    Great photos, thanks for sharing.

Photos 1 and 10 show Panthers of 1st SS Panzer Division "Leibstandarte" after the failed Operation Luettich near Mortain in August 1944.

                    Cheers
                    Steve

Well all the villages mentioned are pretty much in the same general area of Basse-Normandie.

You will have to include photo 9 because that shot is a little to the right of photo number 10....the barrel of Panther can be seen to the left of the group of soldiers in photo 9...and there is another Panther to their right rear.

Fantastic shots Bill. Thanks a lot for posting them.
Do you have more details on the Hotchkiss H39 wreck (#1)? The identification would depend on the location were it was taken. If near Montebourg Pz.Abt.206 would probably be the owner. If close to SME it is most likely a vehicle from Pz.Ers.u.Ausb.Abt.100. Because of the condition of the wreck it is difficult to see any identifying features.

                          Niels,

In the photo album it says the location is Montebourg.

                            Thanks Bill, Pz.Abt.206 it is.
Looks like the front upper armor is laying inside the vehicle and the back section in the ditch. The road could be the RN13, but there are little identifying features.
