    Help with translation Axmann

    Hello,

I have this Photo/Postcard that shows i believe Artur Axmann and another HJ Leader that i would like someone to identify, please.
He is holding in his left hand HJ Leader dagger, don't know if he was preparing to assasinate Axmann?

On the back of the photo there is some writting can someone please translate this for me in full, if possible?

In the writting there is the name "Leyens" same name is written in the top corner of the photo i believe "Alois Leyens"

and then at the end of the writting there is the signature?

    Thank you
    Ado

      I'll give it a go:

      Dir, lb. Kamerad Leyens
      Zur Erinnerung an unsere
      Zusammenarbeit im Bann
      674, Malmedy
      in herzl. Kameradschaft

Not sure of the name in the signature. It ends is "iger". Maybe someone else can decipher it.

That's a transcription. He asked for a translation. My German is not very good, but it says something like 'In Remembrance of our Cooperation....' or instead of 'Cooperation' it might be 'our work together'. Not sure about 'im Bann'.

Kameradschaft means Fellowship- a typical closing to a friend.

        Malmedy is in Belgium.

Are you serious? What did you base your "translation" on? Anyone can run a translation through an online translator but very few can transcribe the old German text. Honestly, I don't know why I bother trying to help sometimes.

A global and understandable translation would be:

For you my dear comrad Leyens.
In rememberance of our cooperation for
            Bann (a Hitler-Youth group) 674 at
            Malmédy (Belgium).
            With cordial comradship,
