    Panzer items?

Hi Guys, hope this is the right place for these?
Today i picked up this map case and inside was this document, some maps, 2 diaries, all sorts of items.
    Any ideas?
Maps seem hand drawn, i'll post a couple pics of each page from the diaries.
    Thanks for any help
    More pics if needed.
    Regards,
    Gary

Wish i could read what the soldier wrote, every day accounts from Jan. 44, to May 45.
Towards the end, he does mention V1 & V2
          Regards,
          Gary

Wow very cool.. hopefully you can get some translation. I like that he spelled Bradley..."Bradlay" on the map..

Any chance of a close-up image of the signature & stamp on the Panzer Badge III citation please? If genuine (and it does look good from that photo) then depending on what you paid for the Map Case then you might have struck very lucky indeed!

The signature is that of Hauptmann Christophel. He took leadership of II./Pz.Rgt.2 on 12 March 1945. His earlier unit was Pz.Rgt.6. I can dig up more info on him, if needed.

Very nice find, by the way.

I'm fairly certain he survived the war.

I have no genuine signature against which to compare the one on the Urkunde, but he is in the right place at the right time to sign it.

I'd love to see more of the diaries because I have a real passion for them.

Is there a name anywhere on the mapcase or diaries that can tie in the items? There is obviously a link with all the items as the divisional symbol on the inside cover is also 16 PD. I am just thinking why the rare PAB III citation is amongst them and wondered if all the items could belong to Alfred Eich who maybe used the mapcase to store all his items in. Or maybe the mapcase could belong to Hauptmann Christophel who was meant to give the citation to Eich but during the chaos of the last month of the war never got round to doing so. Nice citation either way and a great find.
