Here are some nice photos of Leon Degrelle taken by SS-Kriegsberichter Vierbillken in the capital city of Brussels, Belgium. Degrelle was promoted to the rank of SS-Obersturmführer on June 1, 1943 and later in December he would be awarded the Close Combat Badge in Bronze. This is Frame Nr. 3 of the 35mm roll of film dated Nov. 17, 1943.

This tour group are standing in the center of the famous Grand Place in Brussels, Belgium. Some of the soldiers are wearing SS-Kriegsberichter cufftitles indicating this was a special tour organized for war correspondents from several Waffen-SS Divisions.

It's always great to be able to identify the person in the photo.
Do you have another photo of him to share with us for confirmation it is indeed him?

                            Remy,

You and I have a lot in common.
Here are some I've cleaned up as well. Many of the source negatives held not only at NARA but BundesArchiv and BPK are heavily scratched, over/underdeveloped.

Karl Kloskowski at Kursk, PK-Friedrich Zschäckel from the BArchiv.

Werner Wolff, J. Peiper's Ia by Büschel.

Depending on how far you take it you can have a retouched image to fix the scratches or spotting, even creases or go further and play with contrast/curves for a more dramatic image.

With respect to Peiper, there are more images of him unpublished and I am certain more in the Eastern archives I hope to visit next year.

The following shows Peiper's ability to command the attention of combat leaders such as Witt and others. This is from the series of Himmler's visit to LSSAH.

Adjusted and corrected though not finalized. Bundesarchiv.
