            Weird, in all the period photos it looks like a grand place, but in the modern photo it looks like a dirty square half the size.

            I wonder if I were to clean up my garage whether it'll look twice as large too

                this morning i was reading this tread and there was tons of great combat and parade photos? now they have disapeared after lunch ????

                    Allow me to add a bit of trivia: The Feldherrnhalle was actually modeled on the Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence.

                      Here is another view of the rear of the monument taken during the Honour Watch through the night of November 8th, 1936 prior to the annual ceremonies on the 9th. As you can see, the task was given to the HJ, presumably due in no small part to the perennial ability of teenagers to stay up all night.
