A big thanks to Akira, Ian and Gerard

I just wanted to publicly thank Akira Takiguchi, Ian Jewison and Gerard Kenny for contributing some excellent photos to my latest book (it's not about Stalingrad... this time it's Cholm). Without their selfless assistance, this book would not have been complete. News of the book release is here:
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru....php?p=4760614

And for those interested, here is some more information about the book:

    All the best,
    Jason

        Hi Ian,

The photo was colourised by WAF member Larrister. The before and after shots are sown in the following thread:

Haha, how I wish I had an Agfacolor slide of General Scherer (and NOT the Hoffmann ones!)!

Thank you Jason for giving me a chance, I am happy to be of help to all the readers.

I believe several members have received Jason's excellent book. I hope you enjoy the book as I do.

I will post a few newspapers and photos here.

A predecessor of Muck's book Kampfgruppe Scherer - 105 Tage eingeschlossen - a special issue of Der Feldzeitung von der Maas bis an die Memel (newspaper of AOK 16). Note "100 Tage".

Not sure? Here's the close up. Good photos record so much information.

From a magazine or a newspaper. I would be grateful if someone can tell me the origin. This article is also by Muck. This time "105 Tage".

AOK 16 published dozens of booklets for their soldiers (the series is named Graue Reihe). Here's one about Cholm, published very late war.

Polizei Oberleutnant Kurt Krull (later he moved to SS and got DKiG) told his Cholm story in a Gelsenkirchen newspaper with beautiful illustration made by Schlimmer.
