    another ... a young Capuchin friar, Pater Bernold, from the convent of Sankt Ottilien in Upper Bavaria (photo below), consecrated in Rome in 1937, and fell in Ukraine at Kostantinowka in July 1942

          Father Josef Nieberler, a Comboni Missionary, was seriously wounded in Aprilia in firtst line as a corpsman on 16 February 1944 (the first day of the great German attack on the Allied sack) and died the following day in the rear in Rocca di Papa, as indicated in the death card

            interesting his clerical career with beginning and unfortunately the end here in Italy, in Bessanone (the first photo of the Comboni headquarters today) in South Tyrol ... ..
