Father Josef Nieberler, a Comboni Missionary, was seriously wounded in Aprilia in firtst line as a corpsman on 16 February 1944 (the first day of the great German attack on the Allied sack) and died the following day in the rear in Rocca di Papa, as indicated in the death card

interesting his clerical career with beginning and unfortunately the end here in Italy, in Bessanone (the first photo of the Comboni headquarters today) in South Tyrol ... ..

the Comboni Missionaries) have kept a very good track of our priest : from Rocca di Papa he was, after the war, brought back to Bressanone in the Comboni missionary cemetery in the church of the parish of Maria Sand…
