Vehicles traveling alone need to stop and wait for others to proceed together due to partisans.

The first one starts out thanking the two girls (I believe) for their letter, but he hasn't received their package yet. Somebody was on vacation [in his unit], so he thinks it may be there anyways, he just can't get it. He only worked until 3 p.m. that day. He wishes his two sweeties a wonderful new year. =signed= your father.

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

                      Father--Maurer; Mother's name Finke

Reiten, Fahren vom Bock u. Sattel

                      Unterfuehrerabzeichen ab 1.10.35

I am not certain about the word following Unterschenkel. It looks like Rein, possibly Re(chts) in(nere)?

                              I read

"Fliegerschaden C" - I think his home was destroyed by bombs.
