Having a clear idea of what you would like would help. What do you mean "any suggestions"? The reverse says summer 1943 at the Kuban bridgehead.

Thanks Pauke, that's what I meant by any suggestions. My query would perhaps have sounded less odd had I successfully posted the other photos, some of which have longer texts on the reverse. Tomorrow! Mike

The date on this one is odd — Africa after the 7th of May. Does the inscription explain this?

A landseer wearing an afrikamütze by Carl Halfer, with a 2nd pattern cockade, dated war year 1942. Does the inscription tell us any more?

Well, one more. Again can someone translate, please? The cap looks like a soutache removed Lubstein, the tunic a '3rd' pattern. The photo comes from Austria. Again its wartime Agfa Brovia paper.
