Heeres-Verordnungsblatt Notations & Photo for ID
A WWII grouping which I just acquired also contains a WWI medal bar; WWI Wound Badge and a "Member" level armband of the Reichskriegerbund (NSRKB - 1938-45) Veteran Organization...and also a copy of the document shown here.
As the WWII items belong to a man born in 1921 (family name: Knips), it is my assumption that the WWI items and RKB armband might have belonged to his father.
1. While I understand the text of the Heeres-Verordnungsblatt, I am wondering if the hand-written notes at the bottom numbered 1 & 2 might contain a clue as to my above-referenced assumption. I would be grateful for a translation of those two notations, insofar as might be possible, please.
2. As well, a separate small photo of the soldier Knips shows him in a uniform which I am hoping can be identified. He appears to be wearing a type of slip-knot/toggle around his necktie. Could this be of the Hitler Jugend? His Wehrpass does contain entries confirming his qualification for the HJ Leistungsabzeichen; HJ Shiessabzeichen and HJ Reichsschwimmschein.
Thanks and regards,
John
