      ranville,

I agree. It could be Vor Bedonia " am 5.7.44"! - I think Bedonia is a town near Parma.

          Dear friends:

As you can possibly known, I'm an spaniard. In past days, an argentinian friend, send me photos for the first pages of Dönitz's book, 1958 edition by Athenaum Verlag.
As you can see, is dedicated to his officcier in German manuscript language. Obviusly, both, my friend and me cant understand a bit, only English. Can you help us in this task, transcript at English?

Many thanks in anticipate for your collaboration.

in unveränderter Verbundenheit zugeeignet zugleich als Erinnerung an fünf Tage eines frohen

            Wiedersehens - Erich Förster, Admiral a. D. - Buonos Aires 15.5. 59"

              I try to translate it:

" Dedicated to my old friend and in all situations proven companion (of war) - Otto Scholz -

in unchanged solidarity and simultaneously in memory of 5 days of happy reunion Erich Förster..."

                        Oliver,

this is the way I read the text. Abit difficult because the writer was not very trained in writing German letters or German language.

                        " 13.3.44

                        Lieber Sonn Werner !

Grüße Dir herzlich und denke immer an Dich ob noch gesund und Braf bist. Schreibe mir fleissig denn

dein Tati wird schon kommen wieder zu euch und Mammi darfzt nicht ergern. Dan Küsse Dir Dein

                        Tatti "
