    # 3893

In general he is repeating all the things he had eaten, so as potatoes, chicken, strawberries, radish, blueberries, quark, onios...

The only information apart from the "meals" are:

18.7. ...großer Waldbrand - great forest fire

    19.7. ...Gewitter - thunderstorm

    20.7. ... angeschossen - shot/wounded (with a bullet)

It must have been very importat for him to list every day the food and friuts he found to eat.

            Greetings everyone.

I need a little help making out the handwriting on the back of a photograph that I have. Can someone please help me?
The front of the photograph has two males hugging each other, I think they may be brothers

            Thanks.

"Mein "Brüderchen". So wie es sein sollte, aber leider selten ist, denn zanken müssen wir
uns fast immer es wird von Jahr zu Jahr schlimmer!"

My little brother. As it should be, but rather seldom/rarely is, but we must quarrel nearly always und it will be worser year by year.

I have a lot made of many Feldpost letters that were sent to a paratrooper of the Fallsch. Nachr. Abt.4 (4.FJD). Among them there's one that attracted my attention: unfortunately it's written in Suetterlin, but at the end of the second page I can clearly read the acronyms EKI and RK (Iron cross second class and knight cross). I always wondered about the contents of the letter, but unfortunately I can't read a word
Can somebody help me please? I don't need a complete translation, I'd just like to know the sense.
                        Thanks

                          The sentence you mention is:

"...Nun hab ich mich ans R.K. (Rote Kreuz) gewandt und sehe was ich von dort erfahre.."

                          - And now I approached to the R.K. (Rotes Kreuz / Red Cross) to see what they can tell me
                          about him.

The writer is looking for informaton on a soldier/friend named Weifart (?) who should be sent (back) with an Italian Lazarettship.

And that guy named Weifart(?) should be awarded with the E.K. I.

The name could also be "Wichart" (?)
