It states that the P.B. W. later become the Verfuegungdtruppe where he served until 1938 then was with the Customs (Zoll) until called up and joined 12. SS Germania in Aug. 1939.

Werner Schrader Telegram (July 20)

I know its asking a lot as its a lengthy piece but I would welcome any assistance in translating this telegram form. I think the print on the form itself may be Czech. I don't know who sent the telegram but it comes from the Nachlass of Abwehr Oberstleutnant Werner Schrader, a key July 20 conspirator who committed suicide in Zossen on July 28, 1944, 8 days after Valkyrie.

I see a reference to the Gestapo in the bottom right of the obverse and would like to see what else it says. It could have been written by Schrader's wife Cornelia or one of his children. The signature might be Cor Schr

Auf Ihr Schreiben vom 10. Ok. möchte ich
Ihnen folgendes antworten
Ich habe bis jetzt noch keinerlei offizielle
Mitteil.[ung], daß meine Möbel beschlagnahmt
wurden. Außerdem schreiben Sie mir,
daß 7 Bombenbeschädigte in meiner Wohn[ung]
wohnen, so ist die Wohnung doch nicht
leerstehend. Vielleicht teilen Sie das
d. [em] Wohnungsamt mit. Leer gestanden
hat die Wohnung seit meinem Arbeits-
einsatz nie. Ich hatte vor den 7 bereits
3 andere Bombenbeschädigte aufgenommen.
Ich kann doch jetzt nicht eine andere
Wohnung beziehen. Mir wurde, als
ich zur Beerdigung meines Mannes
in Berlin in m.[einer] Wohnung weilte,
offiziell mitgeteilt, dass m.[eines] Mannes
Tod nicht mit d. 20’ Juli zu tun habe.
Dasselbe konnte ich auch der […] Gestapo
mitteilen, die mir versprach, meine
Angelegenheiten zum Abschluß zu bringen.
Sie werden deshalb verstehen, daß ich
im Augenblick mit d. Wohnung nichts
unternehmen kann. Ich wäre gern
zwecks Rücksprache nach Berlin gekommen,
arbeite aber hier auf e. total bomben-
beschädigten Bauernhof u. kann schlecht
abkommen

Cornelia Schrader tells Mr. Wachsner[?] that she had not officially been informed about the confiscation of her furniture. There live 7 bomb-damaged people in her flat, which was meant to be vacant.
At the funeral of her husband she was told that his death had nothing to do with 20th July, which she also told the Gestapo, which promised her to help. Therefore she would do nothing concerning her flat. She would have liked to come to Berlin, but could not leave the totally bomb-damaged farm where she works.
