                          Two Related SS KIA Documents

Can someone please give a translation of the following two documents concerning the death of a member of the Waffen-SS, Gert Bauer in Russia, 1941.
I believe that the letter w/envelope was a response to the parents request for more information concerning their sons death.....and I am not sure what is mentioned in the black bordered death notice.
Your help with this matter will be much appreciated.

The letter of the of the SS-Brigadeführer ( the signature I read "Martin") is a letter of condolence addressed to the family of the KIA soldier Gert Bauer.

                            http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benno_Martin

The other letter is dealing with the grave situation of Gert Bauer. He is not burried on the Kokossalmi cemetery but near KM 18,5 close to the railway line Kiestinki-Louchy.
About the decorations of their son the unit is to be asked.

This could be the entry of Gert Bauer in the Volksbund list. His grave till now is not found:

                            Nachname: Bauer
                            Vorname: Gert
                            Dienstgrad: Unterscharführer
                            Geburtsdatum: 16.11.1921
                            Geburtsort: Untersiemau
                            Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 02.11.1941
                            Todes-/Vermisstenort: Kiestinki
