It could be that Gottlieb Zimmermann from Ebingen was KIA (Volksbund list):

        Nachname: Zimmermann
        Vorname: Gottlieb
        Dienstgrad: Obergrenadier
        Geburtsdatum: 28.09.1926
        Geburtsort: Ebingen
        Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 25.10.1944
        Todes-/Vermisstenort: Nuna

A short synopsis of the leter:

A wife is writing to her husband and telling him about a bomb raid on Ebingen, their home town, 11 July 1944 with great damage and about 50 persons killed. She is explaining him the destruction in different streets and also she names some of their friends also killed.

              Ebingen:

              http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebingen

Here the text from the official website of the City of Ebingen dealing with the bomb raid:

I visited your website: congratulation really a good start!

You asked for more information written in the letter: the soldier' wife also writes about a parcel and the weather in relation the crop harvest.
