Latest arrival. The star seems to be on the wrong side (and so is the medal). Any idea why? Any idea what uniform that is?

IMO this officer is Turkish and his rank is yarbay ( lieutenant-colonel ). Additionally he is wearing Turkish Independent War Medal.

According to regulations independent war medal was worn on right breast. For star really I don't know

the mans portrait pic looks like it was printed backwards from the negitive.

i have a few ww2 pics that have this also.
with the breast eagle on the wrong side of the uniform and medals on the breast eagle side..
its to bad they are nice medal pics also.

I do not think this is the case. Look at the way his jacket seems to be buttoned up? Anil also mentions that the medal is on the correct side.
