    Who can read Russian?

Can anyone read what the sign on the building says?
    Could be a train station?

I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

    Doodyergof???

But that is just by looking at the letters in a dictionary. I suspect I might be wrong on this. We have many Russian members who will put you right.

    Cheers, Ade.

If I may jump in here. This is also a train station. Can any of the Russian speaking members translate the name for me.

          Cheers

                Thankyou Bert & Sergey.

The photos are a sequence of three which show this station.

Was it bombed or destroyed during fighting in the area?

The soldiers are from the 20 Inf. Division.

                Here's another photo.

I think this may be the other side of the station. Wounded are being offloaded from sanitats trucks and are probably being transported to a feldlazarett by rail.

Looks like a couple of FJ in camo smocks standing in the doorway.

                  Cheers
