AV63615/ Churchill loses the cruiser Gloucester.
Churchill admitted to losing two cruisers and four destroyers in the fight for Crete. He boldly set aside the official German position, from which the German and Italian air and naval forces destroyed eleven British cruisers, one submarine, and five quick boats in this fighting sector. Our picture shows the cruiser Gloucester in 1937 in dry-dock. It displaced 9300 tons and carried 700 men.
