      Rebuilding work has already begun on the destroyed Laeken Bridge.

      (The following was provided by a fellow WAF member)
      It was destroyed in the afternoon of the 17th of May 1940 by members of the A Company of the British East Surrey Regiment. The bridge was not completely destroyed and the next morning some German pioneers would temporarily fix the bridge quite rapidly.

                              E2041/ Astonishing ability of the German Schnellboote.
                              The message from the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht reported the German Kriegsmarine operating from harbors on the canal coast is showing great prominence, especially our Schnellboote. Their extraordinary performance and surpassed attacking tactics has caused the enemy considerable losses. A German Schnellboot is at high speed.
