It's been awhile since I posted anything on this thread. I recently returned from a month long trip over to England, Germany and Luxembourg. I picked up from a friend a interesting Large hand written document of a Herman Goering Panzer Feldwebel Johann-Dietrich Schnakenberg who was KIA in Sicily and also a large death card on the same Feldwebel.

Paul......Thanks. I reviewed and enlarged it from the copy in my document folder and I believe he is wearing a normal luft blue/grey shoulder strap. Good eye!!
Cheers! Bill

I wonder if the soldier on the left is wearing ordinary blue-grey shoulder straps?

I recently picked up a grouping of a Soldier who served in U.S. Army Constabulary Forces after the war in Hersfeld/Fritzlar, Germany. This photo was in his photo album. Kind of unusual to find such a photo...there was another of some destroyed German Aircraft on the ex-Luftwaffe base in Fritzlar. I know its' a well known Russian tank with the GG inscription on the side.Last edited by W Petz; 01-14-2017, 11:20 PM.
