Another great lot Bill! any idea where and when the photo in post 1036 was shot? I like the relaxed feel of the group and the Swastika on the wall of the building is interesting.

That particular pic has no writing on the reverse but many of the photos say Frankreich 1943 and I believe they were in the Southern part of France. I have more to post and many have palm trees and 23 pics have tropical uniform shots with Frankreich 1943 written on the reverse. Since a Great Majority of the HG Division was lost in Tunisia in 1943. I'm thinking these soldiers were in France when the Division was reconstituting for their eventual move to Italy and then Sicily.
