    Just received-KC recipients' autographs

    Hi.....
I've recently received quite a few KC recipients' autographs and autographed photos, and I'd like to share them with everyone.

The first example is a 9x14" folio, stamped on Remembrance Day, November 11, 1987. It was signed by seven KC recipients, and then flown from Mendig to Saillagouse, France via Dijon, Valence and Montpellier, then returned to Mendig by the same route.
It is also autographed by the pilot and co-pilot who flew the Sikorsky CH-53G of the HFIg Regiment, German Army Aviation.

The other examples are various postcard sized photos, autographed by:
(top row, L to R in the first photo) Artur Becker-Neetz, Erwin Prossl, Georg Bleher, and (bottom row, L to R) Heinrich Kohler, Fritz Birnbaum, Heinrich Meiswinkel.

The second photo, L to R, are: Herbert Wittman, Kurt Prinz, and Winrich Behr.

This is a new area that I'd like to concentrate on, so if anyone has addresses for other living recipients that they would share with me, or autographed cards/photos of any, living or deceased that they would like to offer, I'd be grateful to hear from you.

    Cheers,
    Bob.

You have a great collection so far. As I am sure of your good intentions, it is sometimes hard to "barter" addresses or give it out as an issue of morality. I'm not saying you are one of these people by any means, but some people write letters asking for nothing but signed portraits then sell them. I know you are a collector, but that sometimes eats at veterans when people don't want to hear stories, they just want items. I know it'd bug me too.

Anyway, I digress. Great collection and I hope veterans live long for you to keep writing!

      Thanks, Mansal....
I've written many letters, commending many of these men on their bravery and service, and I've requested only memories and stories of these times, for the most part.
Quite a few of them volunteered autographs and photos, and in a few cases I've requested them in addition to the information I sought.
Your point about the people who only seek their autographs in order to sell them, is well taken. I hope that when I write to them, that they are able to discern the true purpose of my letters, and provide me with the wonderful stories and accounts I seek....

      Cheers,
      Bob.

Exactly what I hope. It's a shame those people ruin it for us. Anyway, nice collection and maybe I'll send you some copies of pics of my collection.
