Note that he is wearing an EM/NCO overseas cap, and his shoulderboards are missing:
Wildenbruch before the breakout changed his General SS uniform into regular SS uniform, probably not to recognize the Soviets
Wildenbruch tried to break through Budapest city under sewer systems with around 500 german soldier but the Soviets noticed the underground escaping and they began to attack the sewers also
He must had to come afloat and he hide in a villa on the west side of Budapest and later a medium-ranking Soviet officer caught him

The photo made in the hills of Buda in 15 of february 1945, dead SS troops from the Wiking Divison
They successfully broke out from the city but fell in the hills around Budapest

Anyone have any pics? (If this has been addressed before, please provide a link.)
The Soviet photos always nice liar propaganda pictures, usually the Soviets execute the captured Waffen SS troops, the Soviets deeply hate the germans and the SS troops

As a first step in the gulag prisoner in the Soviet Union the pows must shirtless with arms raised in line one after another checked who has a tattoo or scar may (who had tried to clear away the tattoo)
The true is the tattooed ones separated from other soldiers and shot them dead usually

Interesting fact the first stage of the Barbarossa the Russians believe the german tank crew leaders also SS troops because they have skulls in the collar tabs and the Russians killed them instantly

          SS tattoos
