    I'm not sure what the first line says, but I can make out the rest:
    dem [?] [?]
    Zu Weihnachten 1940 (For Christmas 1940)
    von Onkel und Tante (from uncle and aunty)

    Hope that helps.

      1st line: Den braven Junge(?) (The brave lad - or perhaps his name, can't quite make it out)

      best

        Yeah I do not know what it is, but I do not see "junge"

          I originally thought it was Junge but the dot over the finally letter threw me. Now that I look at it again, it seems to end with the letters "egi". I tend to think it's someone's name, most probably a nickname.

            The first line is:

            Dem braven Papi

            Papi = dad

              I know it is written Pepi, but i think that child call his dad Pepi.

              In some German/Austrian regions Pepi is also an abbreviation for Joseph.

                That's what makes Sutterlin such a challenge. Most people don't know what it is. Hard to learn is mostly what it is. But I'm taking a shot at it.

                  Yeah it was a good try, I just didn't think it was.
