                      Film

                      you can also "test" the film to see if it is older. The film in the 30's as these appear to be, is usually on a nitrocellulose base. This means it burns like smokeless powder. Should you have a leader on the roll (which is normally the case) you could cut a small piece off and do a "burn test" as the older film is highly flammable (do this with great caution!). I recently bought a large lot of negatives and was amazed to see the person who had it (thousands of negatives!) smoking a cigarette while viewing it! You are correct that Kodak was around here in Germany before the war.
