I came across an article that talked about dogs in service in WWII. I am aware of the U.S. training dogs but did any other countries do the same? How about tha germans? Does any one have any photos to show of soilders and their fighting dogs.

The German did indeed use dogs. Up here in North Norway they had a unit called Feldhundstaffel 550 which in May '45 had a strength of 50 men and 45 dogs. I believe the unit trained and supplied dogs\handlers to other units and installations for guard duties.
The Germans also used both pigeons and dogs as messengers. They even made use of dog sleds.Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
